Mudbar & Beyond

House Of Arras Wines

If you want to understand why Tasmania's sparkling wine has such a reputation, House of Arras is a good place to start. It's the work of Ed Carr, one of Australia's most awarded winemakers, made right here in Tasmania, and it's a fixture on our wine list.

These wines are built on time and place: aged for years longer than most sparkling, and shaped by Tasmania's cool climate. That patience shows up as layers of flavour and texture you don't find in an average glass of bubbles.

What To Order, And Why

We pour a few different House of Arras wines depending on what you're eating and what mood you're in:

House Of Arras Wines - at Mudbar Restaurant

Brut Elite Cuvée 1501

Zesty citrus notes and a creamy finish, our pick alongside oysters or sashimi.

Grand Vintage

Bold and complex, built to stand up to slow-cooked lamb or duck.

Rosé

A stunner with dessert, or a cheese platter to finish the night.

A Tasmanian Story, In Every Glass

What sets House of Arras apart is the same thing that sets a lot of Tasmanian wine apart: a cool climate and a clean environment that comes through in the glass. Next time you're at Mudbar, ask us about it, we'll help you find the right match for whatever you're eating.
